The Maneki Devil (aka Lucky Devil) is an adorably diabolic soft vinyl tribute the to the Lucky Cat or Maneki Neko of Japan. It is one of the more customizable sculpts produced by Wonder Goblin, and came in two sizes, 7 inches and 4 inches.
In September of 2021, Strange Gallery in Taiwan held a solo show for Wonder Goblin in honor of the Lucky Devil. A selection of some of Asia’s top designer toy artists were selected to customize the figures to their own liking. Below are some of the pieces from the show…
The Maneki Devil was also the first figure by Wonder Goblin to be cast as a bronze sculpture. The bronze pour was done by Inferno Art Foundry in Union City, Georgia, and only 6 pieces were ever made.
