Special colorway hand painted by Goto-san! With Goto-san being in his 80s, and the last living and working sofubi painter from the early days, it's truly a rare privilege to have him paint my toys again. When he was just a teenager, Goto-san began working as a toy painter for the first ever sofubi kaiju producing toy company in Japan, Marusan. He's been steadily painting ever since, and to this day says he lost count after painting over a million toys.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to Goto-san's age, there may be paint imperfections and minor scratches and blemishes on close inspection, but it only adds to the vintage charm he exudes from his beautiful carefree spirit. In other words, please only make this purchase if you're an appreciator of that good wabi-sabi.
